Roadmap / JPA Integration

Hi!

Is there a roadmap, when the final version Hibernate Validator 4 / Bean Validation API will be released? Will the JPA integration require JPA 2? Will it be possible to use Hibernate Validator with JPA 1 at all?

i think there is an extension that will allow it, but im not entirely sure

According to JSR 303: Bean Validation Appendix D. Java Persistence 2.0 integration there will be a JPA 2.0 integration. But no word about JPA 1.0...
Any comment from the official side on this?

When using hibernate-validator 4.0.0.Beta2 hibernate.validator.apply_to_ddl has no effect.
