I've been wondering if there's a way of using the Criteria API to add aggregate functions, something like Expression.Add(Aggregate.Count()).

I need this so I can build a generic search repository for ASP.NET, mostly to get the Page Count. The only way of getting a count is using an aggregate function count on the results.

Hoping someone picks this one up.
