Hallo,

ich bin absoluter Newbie von Hibernate und deswegen eine Frage bzgl. MS Access:

Kann man mit Hibernate auf MS Access Datenbanken/Dateinen zugreifen?

Hibernate kann alles was SQL und JDBC bietet.

und was für einen Treiber muss ich da verwenden? Ich finde dazu nichts in jeglichen Dokus...

hm, hab ich. Aber da ist eine Antwort, dass man mit hibernate nicht auf MS Access zugreifen kann:

Ich meinte das englische User Forum. Evtl. gibt es ja irgendwelche Bruecken und Kruecken um auf Access Daten ohne MSFT Software zuzugreifen. Empfehlenswert ist immernoch die Daten in eine richtige Datenbanksoftware zu migrieren und die Access Frontends mit ODBC darauf zugreifen zu lassen, statt andersrum noch mehr Hacks zu hinterlassen.

Grundsätzlich funktioniert die JDBC/ODBC Bridge mit Access. Wenn Du allerdings das Ganze unter Last mit mehreren Anwendern betreiben willst, dann solltest Du zu einer "richtigen" DB migrieren.

Hi,

unter http://www.hibernate.org/80.html hat Toby geschrieben, dass er ein MS Access Dialect geschrieben hat.
