 Post subject: auto updating persistant object

When i change a property in my persistent object, it is automatically writing the changes to the database. I dont want it to. Well i dont think that i want it to do that.

How do i control it?

You can setFlushmode(FlushMode.NEVER) and flush manually - this is dangerous though. Automatic dirty checking in itself can not be disabled however. You could manually evict the object from the session too, making it detatched.
