Hi,

In standard JDBC calls in a transaction one can do a "Save point"

To temporarily save the transaction. If later down the line, a roll back is required it can be done only upto the "Save point" or completely.

How can this be achieved in Hibernate ?

Not yet, but I remember that a JIRA issue exists. You might want to vote.
