Greetings,

I have been running Hibernate for years without this problem. All of a sudden I am getting "Unable to get the default Bean Validation factory" error messages. Nothing in my app or libraries have changes. I double checked it by restoring from my repository a version I know to have worked. Doesn't anymore. The only thing I can think of is that my environment has changed. (Application jars like Hibernate are part of the repository.) Since I ran this, I may have switched from Java 7 to Java 8. I have spent about 8 hours on this since the error message is not enough for me to go on.

I am using:
hibernate3.jar (3.6.10.Final)
hibernate-jpa-2.0-api-1.0.1.Final.jar

Any help would really be appreciated.

Thanks.

Blake McBride
